Luther and Martha Smith were approved as Baptist Bible Fellowship missionaries to Papua New Guinea in September 1977. They are both 1976 graduates of the missions course of Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, and served their internship at the Broadway Baptist Church in Hopewell, Virginia, where Luther was ordained in 1973.
